Pasta all’Arrabiata!
Ingredients
- 225 gr dried pasta (spaghetti or penne)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 400 gr crushed tomatoes
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until the garlic becomes fragrant and slightly golden.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Once the sauce has thickened slightly, add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss the pasta in the sauce until well coated.
- Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the pasta. Toss again to distribute the parsley evenly.
- Serve the Pasta all'Arrabiata hot, with an optional sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top. You can also garnish with additional red pepper flakes if you prefer it spicier.
